TACP were responsible for the major structural capital and maintenance repairs for over a decade.
The nature of the works included replacement of stone mullioned windows, re-pointing of walls and renewal of lead and slated roofs.
Our responsibilities also included the preparation of costings to obtain funding both from CADW and the Client’s central fund and co-ordinating Archaeologists. Many of the projects were carried out using the Trust’s direct labour. TACP also designed the “Clive of India” exhibition in the main castle building. The restoration of the Ice House in the Wilderness Garden also carried out by TACP received a Prince of Wales Award.
